The winery also supports the Nelson Jazzfest in NZ and other NZ renowned artists work, in the cellars or on the lawns. Woollaston Estates winery sponsor and host a variety of arts-related events throughout the year. In January we sponsor the Woollaston Nelson Jazz and Blues Festival, incorporating 8 days of jazz and blues, and over 60 performances throughout the Nelson region. Artists from Nelson, New Zealand and beyond will perform in a variety of venues - for more information visit the website www.nelsonjazzfest.co.nz As part of the festivities, Woollaston Estates hosts three concerts in The Cellars at the winery and free jazz concerts on the lawn. As part of the Nelson Arts Festival in October, Woollaston Estates host a concert in the Cellars and Poetry in the Vineyard. From mid October to Anzac weekend the tasting room is open for tastings and wine sales, seven days a week, 11am - 4.30pm. There is live music on the lawn the first Sunday of each month. Purchase a tasting platter or bring a picnic lunch and enjoy. During the off-season months, tastings are by appointment, and wine sales from Monday - Friday from 8.30am - 5pm, Saturday & Sunday 11am - 4.00pm. The Cellars and tasting room are available for private functions such as dinners, weddings and business meetings, and access may occasionally vary from the published opening hours - to avoid disappointment please check our website for any changes. |
